Umanistic becomes official distributor of the Vervemotion LiftSuit

LiftSuit is an active (and therefore motorized) exoskeleton created by the American company Vervemotion.

Vervemotion is a Boston-based company founded by Harvard alumni that has recently secured a large round of VC funding to accelerate its growth. Its flagship product is the LiftSuit, an active exokeleton intended to protect the lumbar region and whose target market is distribution and logistics, in particular the palletizing professions in warehouses with several major clients in the field such as Penske, or Kroger.

The liftsuit has a rechargeable battery that lasts 10 to 12 hours depending on the intensity of its use. The device offers 3 choices of assistance powers. It is a one-size-fits-all model, adjustable to all body types and very easy to use.

The big advantage of the Vervemotion LiftSuit is that it comes with a platform for analyzing data from the sensors incorporated into the exoskeleton. These data make it possible to calculate the weight saved by each worker, the number of bends recorded and the number of positions considered at risk that the device will help reduce. This data also makes it possible to calculate the progress of employees in their prevention of risky behavior.

The LiftSuit is stored in dedicated storage spaces which also include chargers and a dedicated server to host the customer’s data. This “furniture” is provided by Vervemotion which installs it during the exoskeleton implantation phase. These shelves are modular, so it is possible to easily add more when deploying on a larger scale.

Here are some images of the LiftSuit in real conditions.

A unique business model

The Liftsuit exoskeleton, from Vervemotion, has the other particularity of being marketed under a SAAS model. The exoskeleton is therefore deployed under a long-term rental license, which allows smaller monthly payments to be made per exoskeleton.
